NATIVE AMERICAN ASSEMBLY

Emmitt White, one of the performers, wore traditional wear, as he introduced himself. His outfit consisted of Eagle feathers and beading.

Members from the Coeur D’Alene tribe and the Rose Creek drum group visited Sandpoint High on March. 14. The assembly kicked off with Jyl Wheaton-Abraham, who talked about three important figure in her lifetime. Afterwards, the all girl drum group, Rose Creek, played a few songs while a few members performed some traditional dances. The assembly ended after students were shown different traditional wear.
