There is a new trend that is making it’s way around the world, and that will likely be making it’s way to Sandpoint soon. That’s right, the fanny pack is making a strong comeback.

Starting in Europe, the trend is moving fast and is hitting the US next. Even major fashion companies have been creating new designer fanny packs to meet the trend.

The largest new twist that is helping the pack come back isn’t new styles, but actually the new way people are wearing them.  

Rather than strapping it around their waists, hipsters had the genius idea to extend the band and sling it over their shoulder, ultimately changing it from a fanny pack into a small backpack worn over the chest.

So, if and when the fanny pack does come to North Idaho, it’s important that people know the correct way to wear the pack.

Whether your fanny pack is Hawaiian print, Gucci, or Chanel keep in mind the best way to wear it: over the shoulder.  Otherwise, you might find yourself looking a bit more 80’s or 90’s than hipster.
