It’s hot chocolate season. There’s always the classics and the niche brands nobody has ever heard of, but which are truly the best? Here’s the Cedar Post’s Top 5 mugs of hot chocolate.
5) Nestle Rich Milk
Chocolate Flavor Pretty good consistency, makes the cut frequently. Doesn’t always quite hit the spot but after coming in after freezing for a while, it will do.
4) Starbucks Hot Cocoa
A nice treat when you’re out and about and aren’t really feeling a coffee. Maybe you thought you wanted one but then realized it’s 7 p.m. and maybe caffeine isn’t the best idea, but maybe sugar will pass.
3) Cadbury Hot Chocolate
The brand who makes the amazing Easter Cadbury eggs also makes hot chocolate? They primarily make chocolate, so it had to be good heated up too, right? Experience helps.
2) Swiss Miss Hot Chocolate
A classic, the go-to hot chocolate when you don’t know what the other options are. Creamy and amazing not only over the Holidays, but also makes a great camping treat! Junior Marlee Lane says she favors Swiss Miss because “it’s yummy and very chocolate-y!”
1) Ghirardelli Hot Chocolate
Feels fancy, maybe cost a little bit more than some of the other trips, but totally worth it. This is a great way to show your family and friends that you actually care about them over the holidays.
