Student mentors at Sandpoint High School are hosting many events for students and teachers to enjoy this December and January.
The mentors’ sponsored projects are scheduled to run from Dec. 2 to Jan. 16. They were planned to provide opportunities for students and teachers to bond by having fun together. Student mentors had to write grants, secure funding and plan the events to make them possible.
Student mentors teacher Erin Roos said that she is excited for the positive impacts the events could have on the school.
“The mentors are holding these fun events to encourage more involvement and community building at SHS,” she said. “Getting more people to know more people equals a better, safer culture at SHS.”
The school’s administration, teachers and student mentors highly encourage students at SHS to sign up and participate in any events they are interested in.
