Corinne Ariss has played on the SHS girls soccer team since her freshmen year, and this summer she took her soccer skills overseas. Take a look into her trip of a lifetime and the soccer star’s incredible European experience.

I just really love Europe and soccer, and the two combined is one of the best experiences I’ve had in my whole life.

Where did you go on your trip?

“I went to Ireland, England and Wales.”

Why did you go on your trip?

“My (soccer) club coach invited me to play for a team called SoCal Select based out of LA. The team was invited to play in England, Ireland and Wales.”

What did you do while you were there?

“We played ‘friendlies’ against local teams in each area, and then we had a tournament with everyone in Cardiff, Wales.”

What was your favorite aspect/ experience while you were there?

“I enjoyed getting to know the soccer culture because it is so different in Europe. Also, getting to meet different girls from around the U.S. was really amazing.”

Is this something you wish to continue doing in your future?

“Oh yeah. Definitely.”
