GOING CLUBBING: LEAGUE OF EXTRAORDINARY GENTLEMEN

League of Extraordinary Gentlemen is a place to better the world by bettering oneself.

There have been many new clubs added at SHS this year, one of them being the League of Extraordinary Gentleman (L.E.G.). The club has no entry requirements and everyone is welcome to join.

Unlike the name would suggest, this club in not only for males but for females too.

The president of the club is Clay Rasmussen and the adviser is Trina Kennedy. They meet every Tuesday after school in E13.

L.E.G.’s goal is to teach people valuable skills people may need throughout their life as well as bring back more courtesy to the school and community. Some of the skills the club leadership plans to teach are ballroom dancing and how to tie a tie, among other things.

“I joined this club because I want to learn some of the skills that have become sort of a lost art, such as tying a tie or ballroom dancing,” senior Mike Frei said.

There has been some controversy over the club’s recent startup following the G.E.M. club.

“I want to make it perfectly clear that this is not and will never be a club made to be pitted against G.E.M. club,” Clay Rasmussen said.

Instead the club is a place to better the world by bettering oneself. The club plans to teach people how to treat everyone as equal while also learning valuable lessons.
