The state quarterfinal game will be played at Memorial Field in Sandpoint, starting at 7 p.m.

Four years into Coach Puailoa’s stint with the Bulldogs, many believe that this team is ready to take the next step and perform at an elite level. High off a four-game winning streak, the Bulldogs are confident and ready to take the next step and compete against state championship caliber teams.

“We need to emphasize doing our jobs correctly,” Colton Engel, a senior cornerback, said. “No penalties. No mistakes. We can’t afford to have holding calls, or pass interference calls. We need every yard.”

“Really, we just need to focus in on what we’re gonna do, because Kuna is not a bad team at all,” Alex Feyen, a senior lineman, said.

In the event Sandpoint wins on Friday, they will advance to the state semifinals against the Rigby Trojans, who dominated in a win against Blackfoot on Thursday night, winning 43-13.

The semifinal will take place at Memorial on Nov. 13. If the Bulldogs make it to the state final, the game will be played at the Kibbie Dome at the University of Idaho on Nov. 20.

“We are just gonna have to go out there and give it our all,” Feyen said.
