MICHAEL PLASTER BREAKS SCHOOL RECORD
Michael Plaster broke the field goal record on Sept. 4, 2015.
Senior Michael Plaster was confident he could kick a school record, a 51-yard field goal, because he had done it before multiple times in practice.
“Right after the kick left my foot I knew it would go between the uprights,” Plaster said.
The field goal gave the Bulldogs the momentum by tying the game up going into half against the University High School on Sept. 4, 2015.
The previous school record was a 48-yard field goal kicked by Jeremy Harvey in 1999.
Plaster has been playing football since he was 8 years old. He plays linebacker, running back, and is also the kicker for the Sandpoint Bulldogs.
Plaster contributed in more ways than just kicking, he also had an interception for a touchdown in the game. He plans to continue his record breaking kicks throughout the season.
