The girls varsity volleyball team won in the last set against Lakeland High School on Thurs. Sept. 17 in the Sandpoint High School gym.

The game was closely matched from start to finish, but ultimately, the Bulldogs achieved victory in the final set.

“I think the game went really well last night. We had some short spots, we let up a little bit. It was good in the end [though],” Kaitlan Ward, a sophomore player, said.

“I don’t think we should have let them get back in the game, we had them,” Grace Kirscher, also a sophomore player, said.

The team still has room to improve over the season, which is only just beginning.

“[We need to work on] serving, our serving was bad,” Kirscher said.

The Lady Bulldogs’ next game is at 2:00 p.m. on Sat. Sept. 19 at Sandpoint High School against Lewiston.
