From students to staff many get excited for fall due to the simple fact that it brings hunting season along with it.

Multiple people do not realize that there are a few different ways to go hunting and that they have their own seasons with them as well. These include archery and rifle.

Both Luera Holt and Derek Dickinson only use rifles for hunting while individuals like Hunter Sheffield, Trevor Eidson, Jacob Stark, and Robert Lindner participate in both rifle and archery season.

Hunting with rifles means that an individual can shoot their animal from a further distance, but others like the challenge that archery provides them with.

“Not only can you reuse the arrows it requires more perseverance and both physical and mental discipline,” Lindner said.

Hunting is not only a way to fill their freezers with local and good meat, but it is also a way to get out in the natural world and allows you to appreciate animals more.

“I think it is just some good clean fun,” Stark said.
