Moana is one of the latest releases from Disney, starring Auli’i Cravalho as Moana and Dwayne Johnson as demi god Maui. The movie follows Moana and Maui on a quest to break the curse that is killing the island of Moana’s home.

It starts out as Maui the demigod stealing the heart of Te Fiti, an island goddess, who possesses the power to create life and raise islands. He wants to give it to the people as a gift mut loses  Once the heart is stolen a curse of darkness is brought to all the islands eventually hitting the island that Moana lives on hundreds of years latter. The ocean calls on to Moana to  deliver the heart to Maui so he can give it back to Te Fiti to restore the land for the people.

This movie was filled with the usual songs that Disney characters sing, and the happily ever after ending. Moana is one of the better new Disney movies as it teaches a lesson to go out and be your own hero and be persistent. Moana didn’t need a man, she was able to fight her way to get the happy ending she wanted.

If you personally like happy ending movies because of perseverance then this movie is definitely one to check out.
