10. Fun Size ~ PG-13

A newer Halloween movie that came out in 2012, this movie features well-known actors such as Victoria Justice and Chelsea Handler. This relatable movie Wren, a high schooler who had hoped to go to her crush’s Halloween party, is stuck trick or treating with her younger brother. Things really aren’t as boring as she assumed.

9. The Corpse Bride ~ PG

As a kid, this movie may have seemed scary, but now it’s the perfect animation for an older audience. When things go wrong with his wedding rehearsal, Victor, voiced by Johnny Depp, accidentally marries a corpse who takes him to the underworld.

This is truly a horrifying flick, especially for those who aren’t into scary movies. In this film, a group of teenagers are terrorized in their dreams by serial killer Freddy Krueger, only to find out that their dreams become reality. After this movie, you’re supposed to have nightmares.

Definitely one of the crazier Halloween movies out there, the Rocky Horror Picture show is a must see. A musical classic about embracing one’s individuality, it’s not so much of a scary movie as it is a strange comedy.

Ask anyone, and there’s a good chance that they will tell you that one of the Halloweentown movies is their favorite. The original follows Marnie, the oldest daughter as she learns how to become a witch and must save Halloweentown from a demon.
