EMOJI UPDATE
iOS 9.1 featured new emojis for iPhones.
The recent release of Apple’s iOS 9.1 included several new bug fixes.
For example, now when you take live photos the phone doesn’t capture photos when you raise and lower your device, a problem that ruined many live photos when the newest iPhone came out a few months ago.
Perhaps more important was the release of 184 new emojis, including some that have been long anticipated. Among these new emoticons are tacos, burritos, and even a middle finger.
Before the iOS update, Taco Bell started a petition in an attempt to get the taco emoji onto the new update. This petition can be found on change.org, and nearly 33,000 people signed that petition in order to gain emoji equality.
When asked what she thought of the new emojis, senior Baylee Webster replied: “I really like that I can flip people off now, and I really like the rock on hands and the champagne bottle.”
Apple plans to come out with a selfie, bacon, and even an avocado in the 2016 update.
