With Christmas right around the corner, many people want to snuggle up by the fireplace and relax with a Christmas movie. There are so many to choose from, so how do you know which ones to watch first? Well here is a list of top five Christmas movies  to watch during the holidays. 

Krampus

Do you like scary movies but also enjoy Christmas ones? Well then this is the movie for you. Krampus is the opposite of Santa. Instead of bringing presents he comes to torture and scare children who misbehave or don’t believe in the spirit of Christmas. (2015) 

Elf

This Christmas comedy featuring Will Ferrell is a family classic.The story is about a man named Buddy who was raised by Santa and his elves. He had never left the North Pole and had no idea what the outside world was like. So, Buddy takes off on a quest to find his real father in New York City.  (2003)  

Home Alone

An eight year old boy named Kevin accidentally gets left home alone while his family goes on Christmas vacation. While he is home, two burglars try to rob his house and he must fend them off to protect himself and his family’s things. (1990) 

Gremlins

A teenager named Billy gets an unusual pet for Christmas which has three important rules on how to take care of it. Billy breaks these rules and unleashes a bunch of little monsters into his home town. (1984) 

A Boy Called Christmas

This heartwarming movie is about a  young boy named Nikolas goes on a search to find his father in the snowy north. His father is on a quest to find a village of elves. With his pet reindeer named Blitzen and his pet mouse, Nikolas meets his destiny. (2021)
