3 NO-CARVING PUMPKIN IDEAS

No guts, no problem

Peyton Mullen

Painting a pumpkin like candy corn is one way to decorate a pumpkin without carving.

If you’re the type of person who hates the smell of pumpkin guts, hates getting their hands slimy, and does not trust themselves with a knife, here are 3 ways to stay festive in the halloween season without the hassle of carving a pumpkin.

Things you’ll need:

1. Orange/White Pumpkin

2. White Paint

3. Black Paint

4. Fake Spiders (optional)

5. Yellow Paint

Skeleton

Paint a pumpkin white, trace out two eye sockets and paint them black. Trace out two almond shaped nostrils and paint them black. On the lower half of your pumpkin, paint a black line for the mouth. Paint small lines on the mouth for stitches and step back and enjoy your masterpiece.

Spider Web

Begin with painting a black line in every vertical crease in the pumpkin. In each vertical section paint horizontal lines that alternate slanting to the right and to the left. Once your spider web design dries, you can glue your fake spikers around your pumpkin to complete the look.

Candy Corn

Begin with dividing the pumpkin into three sections. Paint the very bottom section yellow. Leave the middle section of your pumpkin orange. Next, paint the very top section of the pumpkin white. Once this is complete, let the paint dry, and set your creation on display for everyone to enjoy.
