OCTOBER PREVIEW REVIEW
Before I Go To Sleep
October 31 | rated R
Just in time for Halloween! This creepy thriller looks like a psychological roller-coaster ride. Nicole Kidman plays a woman who’s memory vanishes every night when she goes to sleep, a result of a terrible accident she was in. Over time, small pieces of her memory begin to return. The people around her seem to be the people she can’t trust. This movie looks perfect for a Halloween night outing. Plus, it looks at least somewhat well thought out, unlike the typical horror movie.
Interstellar
November 7 | rated PG-13
Matthew McConahuey, Anne Hathaway and Jessica Chastain all star in this new sci-fi movie, a stellar dream team if you ask me. McConahuey embarks on a journey through a recently opened wormhole with his team of explorers. This movie looks like it will be a stunning cinematic experience full of suspense and absolute awe at the beauty of outer space. I do think this is a much more safe way to enjoy interstellar space travel, from the comfort of the movie theater.
The Theory of Everything
November 7 | rated PG-13
Personally, I cannot wait to see this movie. Starring Eddie Redmayne and Felicity Jones, the movie tells the story of Stephen Hawkings and his wife, Jane, when they were young. The movie takes place before Stephen became disabled and follows their wonderful love story. Portraying the struggles they faced in life, the movie seems to have the theme that love conquers all. This looks like a tearjerker, so bring a box of tissues. And come on, looking at Eddie Redmayne for two hours, count me in.
Foxcatcher
November 14 | rated R
It’s Steve Carrell and Channing Tatum like you’ve never seen them before. (No ladies you aren’t dreaming, I said Channing Tatum.) The two actors look completely different in this film thanks to makeup and other effects. Steve Carell seems to play a serious character, which is intriguing enough to make me want to see this. The movie is based on the true story of Olympic wrestler, Mark Schultz. I don’t know much about wrestling, but based on the preview, and the complete makeover of Steve and Channing, this is one I need to see. But my questions is, are they really catching a fox? Maybe they can finally tell us what the fox says.
