BASEBALL

Coach:

Chase Tigert

Key Players:

Tyler Lehman, Max Thielbahr, Cameron Garcia, Anthony Arroyo, and Avery Bocksch

Goals:

“Our goal this year is to be prepared – prepared for any situation at any given time. I tell the guys that there’s no pressure when you’re prepared. We want them to feel confident every single pitch this year.”

SOFTBALL

Coach:

Elizabeth Hawkins-Williams

Key Players:

Ashley Authier, Brooklen Steiger, Isabel Edwards, Jaycie Irish, Kinzie Ward, and Riley Cessna

Goals:

“My main goal for this season is for my players to have fun, work hard and enjoy playing softball. When they are joyful while they are playing, they are their best selves. It’s difficult to beat an entire team of players who are all playing their best, so winning and reaching the State Tournament is the natural outcome of coaching a team that is having fun, working hard and enjoying the game.”

TENNIS

Coach:

Kent Anderson

Key Players:

Boys – Charlie Johnson, Christian Story, and Josh Embree

Girls – Jenny Slaveck, Hadley Goodvin

Goals:

“Our goal is to maximize our potential in 2020 while we groom this young team for two years of District dominance. We expect both our boys & girls teams to win Districts in 2020.  Our boys team has the ability to finish high at State.”

GOLF

Coach:

Michael Deprez

Key Players:

Boys – Joel Johnson, Harley Wilks, Davis Macdonald, Wilson VanDenberg, Jaden Dumars, Will Hurst, Merek Bauck, Dawson Owens, Matt Shaw, and Andrew Hernandez.

Goals:

Girls – “Qualify and WIN state.”

Boys – “To qualify for state as a team.”

For both the boys and girls teams, “Develop a strong culture of confidence, through practices being more meaningful, specific, and structured. This year there will also be a strong focus on game management and have a clear plan on how to play each hole off the tee and with the approach into the green.”

TRACK AND FIELD

Coach:

Matt Brass

Key Players:

Boys – Seth Graham (800), Nik Braedt (1600/3200), Jett Lucas (1600), Brady Nelsen (3200), Brandon Casey (Shot/Disc) and Braden Kappen (LJ, 100).

Girls – Bionce Vincent (800), Paige Davidson (100m hurdles, Pole Vault), Kayla Remsen (Shot), Maddie Morgan (Triple Jump), and Lydia Nelsen (Pole Vault)

Goals:

“Track is so diverse, we have 18 different events with the 4 relays, so there are some broad team goals, but most of the goals are athlete level specific to their events.  As a team we would like to win the District Championships for both girls and boys, as well as get 15-20 kids to qualify for State.”
