CASEY RANDLES WINS STATE WRESTLING
Sophomore Casey Randles competed in the state wrestling championship on February 27 and 28 and won his weight division (170 lbs).
“I was kind of nervous going into the final match, but I was pretty confident I was going to handle the kid well. I knew it wasn’t going to be a close match going into it, and it wasn’t,” Randles said.
Randles has high expectations for his wrestling career and hopes to win the Tri-State Tournament, as well as state for the next two years.
“I think it was well deserved. Casey hasn’t yet achieved the same level of greatness as some of those other guys have [top ten wrestlers from Idaho], but he definitely has the same work ethic they have. When you have that kind of work ethic, it’s a matter of time before you end up being really successful,” head coach Mike Randles said.
