What made you chose to become a foreign exchange student?
“I wanted to perfect my English and my sister […] has also been an exchange student and she loved it, so I wanted to try it also and I really enjoy it.”
What is the biggest difference between this school and your old school?
“Actually this high school is huge because in mine it was very little. I knew all the students and here it’s impossible.”
Has something funny happened since you have been here? If so, what?
“The first meal I ate here was a sandwich and it was dipped in butter, and there if you eat this you are like strange, and here its normal.”
What was your first impression of Sandpoint?
“I really like it because you have everything. The mountains for winter, the beach for the summer, so you have a lot of things together.”
What other languages do you speak?
“Spanish, French, English, and Catalan [Spoken in Barcelona]”
What’s something about your home country that Americans don’t know?
“In Catalonia we are not part of Spain, so we want independance.”
What are some of your favorite things to do?
“Hiking, sports, hanging out with friends, sleeping.”
What’s one cultural thing you want to experience?
“I am really excited to do Thanksgiving, Halloween, and Christmas.”
