What position are you running for and why?

I’m running for ASB Vice President because over the past two years I’ve been in StuCo, I’ve watched ASB create some really cool events that I’d like to be a part of. I’m running unopposed, so I have the position!

What made you want to join StuCo?

I joined StuCo because my freshman year, I didn’t really enjoy or remember any events that StuCo put on, partly because I was an uninvolved freshman and partly because I didn’t understand just how much work goes into events. I also wanted to have experience with event planning. Many of my friends decided to participate as well, so that was a big plus.

How has your experience been so far in StuCo?

My experience has been pretty positive. Planning and participating in events such as Ironman, Powderpuff, Battle for the Paddle, and Homecoming have been so much more enjoyable because I can see our class’s hard work pay off. I’ve made some really great friends in the class and have connected with people I normally wouldn’t connect with, which is great.

What are some fun facts about you?

An interesting thing about me is that my family is really into whitewater rafting. This summer, we’re planning on running the Lower Salmon River in August, which is one of my favorite rivers ever. I want to be a raft guide someday, but you have to be 18 to really get into it, so my time will come eventually.

What position are you running for and why?

I ran for Senior class Vice President and won because no one else ran. I really wanted to be a part of Stuco because it has always looked fun and I love helping with school events. I didn’t run for President because I knew other people who have been in StuCo longer than me would want the opportunity and do better!

What made you want to join StuCo?

I just really really wanted to help set things like B4P and prom up. And everyone in StuCo seems so nice, so it really appealed to me.

How has your experience been so far in StuCo?

I actually have never been in StuCo, but so far winning senior class Vice President has been super fun. Everyone has already been super welcoming.

What are some fun facts about you?

I want to be a psychiatrist when I’m older and I have a dog named Phoebe Buffay Churchill, named after Phoebe from the sitcom “Friends.”

What position are you running for and why?

I ran for Junior Class President, and I am already elected for that position. My freshman year was boring, and I was looking for a way to make things for my sophomore year more interesting, while also wanting to get more involved in our school. School pride is also a big deal to me, and I wanted to be someone who spreads that pride to others in our school.

What made you want to join StuCo?

I joined StuCo as VP of the sophomore class this last year, and it has provided a multitude of ways to help develop my leadership as well as my skills in working on a team. Mary is a perfect advisor, and knows what needs to be done to make our events be successful while also making sure we are the driving force of planning them.

How has your experience been so far in StuCo?

Overall, it is fun and challenging, and I’ve found it a great way to involve myself further in the school.

What are some fun facts about you?

I’ve been on the Girls Varsity Soccer team both in 2018 and 2019 so far, I’m a NHS member, and my favorite part of SHS is playing in and attending sporting events. I also really enjoy planning and participating in spirit events (B4P, Hoco, etc.)

What position are you running for and why?

I am running for Junior Vice President because I was sophomore Representative last year and I really enjoyed StuCo. I am running unopposed so I have already been elected!

What made you want to join StuCo?

I wanted to Join StuCo because I want to have a voice in the planning and organizing of all of our events, and I really just want to make the most positive impact possible in our school.

How has your experience been so far in StuCo?

I truly enjoy StuCo, even though I have only been a part of it for the past few months. I have made so many memories and I have gained a true understanding of all the hard work that goes into every event we do.

What are some fun facts about you?

One could be that no one on Facebook or Instagram has my name, or maybe that I went to Waldorf my whole life. Also, the fact that I just found out what pizza rolls were like a month ago.
