PROM PREPARATION IN 7B

April 17, 2015

Prom will be held at the Columbia Bank in Sandpoint on April 25 from 8:30 – 11 p.m. Here are some tips to prepare for 7B Prom.

  1. Sandpoint may not have the most diverse options in terms of formal wear shopping, but Coeur d’Alene and Spokane are both relatively close options. Larson’s also offers tuxedo rentals for a more local alternative. Call ahead to various bridal and formal salons to find out dress and tuxedo availability. Shopping online is also a viable option; make sure to check out online bridal stores. For a Sandpoint High School option, Sparkle’s Closet is open in Ms. Guthrie’s room.
  2. 41 South, Ivano’s, and Trinity are all good options for larger groups dining-out before prom. 41 South and Ivano’s both offer different seating arrangements for larger parties, while Trinity will seat groups in the dining room with other customers. All three restaurants said that the sooner the reservations are made, the better. 41 South and Trinity do not charge extra for large groups.
  3. Whether you’re looking for a promposal bouquet, corsage, or boutonniere, there are many local options to choose from. Nieman’s Floral ranges $15-$30 for bouquets and corsages (floral arrangement worn on the wrist), and $10-$20 for boutonnieres (typically worn on the jacket lapel). Petal Talk and All Season’s Garden and Floral are two other local options to choose from.
