Over the last week, the Sandpoint Model UN Team participated in the National High School Model United Nations Conference (or NHSMUN). The class, lead by Mr. Baranski and accompanied by Scotty and Sage Fitchett, were able to accomplish many of the ultimate tourist attractions such as visiting museums, seeing the Statue of Liberty, going to a broadway show, attempting to figure out the subway system and even jaywalking. Along with all these events, the students in the class just had a great time being around each other. The majority of the class even had an unexpected prolonging of the trip when a delay in the Newark Airport led to a day spent in Minneapolis exploring the Mall of America. Safe to say this trip was one for the books, and in order to sum up the trip, student Houston Cordle created an amazing video to show the class’s adventure. The Cedar Post editorial staff would like to thank Houston for his submission, and credit him for the video attached.
