HOMECOMING 2016

An overview of SHS’s homecoming week

On Sept. 16, there was an all school assembly. At the assembly, homecoming royalty was announced except for the senior classes’ Queen and King, which were announced at the homecoming game.

As well, all four grade levels participated in a decibel reading and a lip sync battle. The senior class won both.

The homecoming carnival took place the same day after school. It was planned in order to show school spirit and promote the school’s clubs prior to the game.

That night, the Bulldogs played their homecoming game against the Bonners Ferry Badgers at Barlow stadium. The game was the last one played on the 65 year old field, as it will be remodeled.

It was also senior night. Players, dancers, and cheerleaders were acknowledged and accompanied by their family members.

At half-time, the dance team and cheerleaders performed. As well, seniors Laney Search and Clay Rasmussen were crowned homecoming  royalty.

The Bulldogs won 43-7.
